Book Crito: A Dialogue of Plato
"Crito" is a dialogue of the great ancient Greek philosopher Plato, which tells about a conversation between Socrates and his friend Crito. The action takes place in the royal prison, where Socrates awaits the execution of the death sentence, which was imposed on him as a result of a drunken conviction for escaping from Athens. This dialogue defines the moral and ethical aspects of justice, friendship and responsibility before the law. "Crito" encourages Socrates to escape from prison, offering many arguments, but the last wisdom of Socrates is respect for the law and the actions of the lord. This dialogue leaves the reader with a question about philosophical wisdom and principles of justice.
