Book Menexenos
"Meneksen of Xenophon" or simply "Meneksen" is one of the most interesting works of Ancient Greek philosophy in history. The author of this dialogical work is the great ancient Greek philosopher Plato. This work depicts a discussion between Socrates and the young Athenian aristocrat Menexenes about the advantages and disadvantages of a military career. They discuss the themes of leadership, honor, justice, and wisdom, questioning conventional wisdom about military heroism and its justice. Through the dialogue, the author shows the reader the complexity of moral affairs that a person faces in the world of armies and power. "Meneksen" is not only a philosophical conversation, but also a deep reflection of Greek society and its values.
