This book is a collection of quotes from world history with precise links to the source, information about the origin of the quote and a convenient search tool. The reference book included: 1) statements of historical and political figures; 2) other statements related to historical events; 3 ) some quotes from the field of ideology and public life; 4) anonymous “catch words”, political slogans, as well as some historical terms and turns of political language. In the 2nd edition, the book underwent significant revision. Several hundred corrections, clarifications and additions have been made to it, 70 personal headings and 175 new dictionary entries have been added.

The book’s text has been translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence system. In most cases, the translation is accurate and clear, but occasionally there may be incorrect phrasing or individual words left untranslated.

Необхідний довідник для всіх, хто цікавиться історією!

Ця книга - справжній скарб для всіх, хто прагне глибше зрозуміти світову історію через призму висловлювань та цитат. Зібрані тут думки історичних і політичних діячів, а також анонімні крилаті слова, дозволяють читачеві відчути дух епохи та зрозуміти, як формувалися ідеї, що вплинули на розвиток суспільства. Я особливо ціную зручний пошуковий апарат, який робить цю книгу незамінним довідником. Хоча друге видання містить деякі неточності в перекладі, загалом якість тексту вражає. Я рекомендую цю книгу студентам, викладачам та всім, хто цікавиться історією, адже вона не лише інформативна, але й надихає на нові роздуми про минуле та його вплив на сучасність.
