Після тридцятирічної паузи автор повертається до улюблених персонажів, і Гаррі Д'Амур стає центральною фігурою в цій захоплюючій історії. Книга сповнена магії, жаху та неймовірних поворотів сюжету, які тримають у напрузі до останньої сторінки. Баркера знову вражає своєю майстерністю опису темряви і страху, а також глибокими психологічними аспектами, які змушують задуматися про природу зла. Хоча переклад тексту може містити деякі недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися потужним сюжетом і атмосферою, яку створює автор.
