This anthology contains translations of stories that are practically unknown to the general public and skillfully involve the reader in an atmosphere of fear and mystery; telling about the mysterious, incomprehensible, supernatural. The collection presents stories not only of recognized masters of the genre, such as Bram Stoker, William Hope Hodgson, M. R. James; but also works by authors little known to the reader, such as Max Douttenday, Arthur Waltermire and Franciszek Fenikowski. Some of the translations of the anthology were published in the online magazine darkermagazine.ru.

The book’s text has been translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence system. In most cases, the translation is accurate and clear, but occasionally there may be incorrect phrasing or individual words left untranslated.
