“Once is not enough” is a novel about the “strangeness of love”, about the conflict of irresistible passions with the arguments of reason, with public morality. The heroine of the novel January Wayne's mad love for her own father determines her fate. In many ways, the passions of other characters are just as “lawless”—January’s fiancé, her adoptive mother, her best friend. The action of the novel takes place against the backdrop of a radical revaluation of cultural and moral values, the entry of new ideals into the hypocritical, but in its own way attractive world of traditional culture.

Вражаюча історія про любов і моральні дилеми

Роман "Одного разу недостатньо" вразив мене своєю глибиною та складністю емоцій, які переживають герої. Історія Дженюарі Уейн, її божевільне кохання до батька та конфлікти з суспільними нормами змушують задуматися про природу любові та моральності. Автор майстерно показує, як пристрасті можуть зруйнувати життя, але водночас і надати йому сенс. Кожен персонаж має свої слабкості та бажання, що робить їх надзвичайно реалістичними і зрозумілими. Хоча текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, і в деяких місцях відчувається недосконалість, це не заважає насолоджуватися сюжетом. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто готовий зануритися у світ складних емоцій і моральних запитань
