Jorge Klein's wife has died, but in 1993 a man can be brought back to life again. People can be resurrected using a special process, and it was according to the will of Jorge’s wife Sibylla that she was “lit up” again. After the resurrection, Sibyl did not return to Jorge, since the dead after the “Ignition” actually become different people. Jorge cannot come to terms with the loss of Sibyl. For two years he has been looking for her, following her all over the world. He flies to Zanzibar, where Sibylla comes to continue her research on the history of this island. Using special drugs that disguise a person as a dead man, Jorge penetrates the cold city where Sibylla lives to meet her.
