"Big Soviet Encyclopedia (E)" is a grand publishing project that originated in the times of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. It has no equal in the history of the Ukrainian printed press in terms of its scope and depth of material coverage. Each volume of this encyclopedia became a huge reference book with more than fifty thousand articles on general human knowledge from a wide variety of fields: from history and politics to science, technology and culture. In addition, it contained many illustrations, tables and maps, which made it even more accessible and understandable for the reader. "Great Soviet Encyclopedia (E)" not only became a source of knowledge for many generations of Soviet citizens, but also recognized as a symbol of ideological and scientific confidence in the spirit of socialist society.
