This book is a practical guide to working with the popular sound editor Sound Forge 9. It describes (and also shows in the video course included on the disk) all the basic techniques for working with the program, its main functionality and tools. The presentation is based on step-by-step procedures that allow the reader to gain practical experience working with audio data. After a brief introduction to the program's interface at the beginning of the book, the presentation concentrates on the basic tools for working with sound. Next, the reader will become acquainted with techniques for editing audio data. The means of sound processing using Sound Forge processors are described, allowing you to normalize and configure sound parameters, and talk about special effects that can give musical recordings a special sound. Having mastered sound processing, the reader will move on to mastering the technique of recording their audio data onto CDs for subsequent playback on players or a computer. The most advanced features of the program are described in the last chapter in the form of an overview containing brief information on techniques for working with MIDI and samplers and scripts of interest to professional sound engineers.
