The ongoing collection “Soviet Geniza”, the first issue of which is held in the reader’s hands, aims to introduce sources on the history of Jews in the USSR into scientific and public circulation. By “introduction into circulation” the compilers mean not only the full or partial publication of various texts, but also their interpretation. This determined the format of the publication: a combination of detailed analytical articles and, as appendices to them, extensive collections of archival documents. The publishing layout of the book is preserved in PDF A4 format.

Важливий внесок у вивчення історії євреїв у СРСР

Перший том надає читачеві можливість зануритися в архівні документи, які раніше були недоступні, і це, безумовно, є величезним досягненням для історичної науки. Поєднання аналітичних статей з архівними матеріалами дозволяє отримати глибше розуміння складних процесів, які відбувалися в радянському суспільстві. Хоча переклад тексту здійснено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних помилок, загальна якість видання залишається на високому рівні.
