The article is based on an analysis of materials from Leningrad newspapers: for 1946–1991 - “Leningradskaya Pravda”, “Smena” and “Evening Leningrad”; for 1991–2003 - “Smena”, “St. Petersburg Vedomosti” and “Nevskoe Vremya”. Issues of these newspapers were used that were published on memorable blockade dates, January 18 and 27 (that is, the days of the breakthrough and lifting of the blockade), as well as on the days closest to these dates. In addition, a number of documentaries dedicated to the Leningrad siege were used.

The book’s text has been translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence system. In most cases, the translation is accurate and clear, but occasionally there may be incorrect phrasing or individual words left untranslated.
