Роман "Тунель" Бернгарда Келлермана - це не просто історія про будівництво тунелю під Атлантичним океаном, а глибоке дослідження людської природи, амбіцій та цінностей. Мак Аллан, геніальний інженер, стає символом прагнення до прогресу та інновацій, але його шлях не безперешкодний. Автор майстерно поєднує елементи "виробничої фантастики" з соціалістичними ідеями, змушуючи читача замислитися над ціною, яку доводиться платити за досягнення великих цілей. Келлерман вміло показує, як гроші та влада можуть впливати на моральні рішення, і чи готовий герой жертвувати своїм життям заради вищої мети. Хоча переклад тексту іноді має недоліки, загальна ідея та емоційний заряд книги залишаються незмінними. Це твір, який варто прочитати всім, хто цікавиться не лише фантастикою, а й соціальними питаннями, що залишаються актуальними й сьогодні.
