Plato of Athens is an ancient Greek philosopher, student of Socrates, teacher of Aristotle. It is from Plato that philosophy is formed as a system of knowledge. “Man is the measure of all things.” Or not? Socrates argues about this with the Sophist philosophers in the Protagoras, defending the goodness of the gods, but not of man, and revealing to his opponents the concept of virtue, which is the highest knowledge. The collection also includes Plato’s works “Theagus”, “Menexenus”, “Euthydemus”, “ Gorgias", "Meno". These Socratic works take the form of dialogues, in which, through the method of questions and answers, the problems of education and the principles of education, knowledge and ignorance, truth and lies, chaos and order, good and evil are clarified.

Глибоке занурення у філософські роздуми

Книга "Міра всіх речей" є справжнім скарбом для тих, хто цікавиться філософією та її основами. Платон, Сократ і їхні діалоги відкривають перед читачем глибокі питання про природу людини, знання та моральність. Ця книга не лише знайомить нас з класичними філософськими ідеями, але й спонукає до роздумів про сучасні проблеми. Діалоги між Сократом та софістами вражають своєю актуальністю, адже питання, які вони піднімають, залишаються важливими й сьогодні. Хоча текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних неточностей, загальна якість перекладу залишається на високому рівні. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто прагне глибше зрозуміти філософські концепції та їхній вплив на наше життя.
