“The Everyday Views of Murr the Cat” is the last novel by the great German writer E. T. A. Hoffmann, a brilliant result of his work, which combined reality and fantasy, romantic impulse and caustic satire. This amazing work, which Hoffmann himself considered the best of his novels, is the notes of the learned cat, pragmatist and epicurean Murr, in some places transposed with pages from the biography of the “mad Kapellmeister” Kreisler, an enthusiastic dreamer, incorrigible romantic and alter ego of Hoffmann himself, who accidentally found their way into the manuscript. . According to the author, Murr had a prototype: “This is a cat of wondrous beauty and even greater intelligence, which I raised, and it was he who gave me the reason for that amusing mystification that permeates this, in fact, very serious book.”

Чарівний світ кота Мурра

«Життєві погляди кота Мурра» - це справжня перлина літератури, яка вражає своєю оригінальністю та глибиною. Гофман, як завжди, майстерно поєднує реальність і фантазію, створюючи унікальний світ, де кіт Мурр стає не лише спостерігачем, а й філософом, який ділиться своїми життєвими поглядами. Його спостереження про людське життя, стосунки та мрії настільки дотепні і пронизливі, що змушують задуматися про власні цінності. Ця книга не лише розважає, але й спонукає до глибоких роздумів. Хоча переклад тексту місцями може бути недосконалим, це не заважає насолоджуватися чудовим стилем і гумором Гофмана. Рекомендую всім, хто любить літературу, що поєднує в собі іронію, романтику та глибокі філософські роздуми. Книга залишає після себе приємне відчуття і бажання перечитати її знову!
