Автор, відомий англійський історик мистецтва, глибоко аналізує творчість таких видатних художників, як Боттічеллі, Рафаель та Мантенья, і надає читачеві унікальну можливість зрозуміти, як неоплатонічна філософія вплинула на їхні роботи. Книга не лише розкриває особливості стилю та технік художників, але й показує, як їхні твори відображають складний синтез античної чуттєвості та християнської духовності.
