Lidia Vakhrusheva turns to private detective Tatyana Ivanova with a request to force her ex-husband, the owner of a furniture factory, to give money for her daughter’s operation. Taking pity on the woman, Ivanova gets to work and is surprised to discover that the peaceful enterprise has a regime of special secrecy, and in the evenings there is an unscheduled shipment of upholstered furniture. Paradoxically, it is easier for the famous detective to deal with such mysterious incidents than with the presumptuous father who spared a fraction of his wealth to save his own daughter...
