Yuri Kozelchik, formerly the most talented burglar in the city of Tarasov, turns to private detective Tatyana Ivanova. Kozelchik's apartment was robbed, and he wants to find the thief. The matter is complicated by the fact that the criminal needs to be identified before the client’s wife returns from the sanatorium. But this is not so easy to do: Yuri gives a minimum of information about the robbery and prohibits them from inspecting the scene of the incident. What is the reason for this increased secrecy?
