It seemed to Victoria that she was surrounded by a barely permeable veil. She heard voices, loud orders, quick steps, but the sounds were so vague, as if everything was happening in parallel space. At the same time, she knew for sure that outside, on the deck, just a few meters from her cabin, the first filming was about to begin. Suddenly the voices were drowned out by sobbing: “Mommy, mommy, why don’t you come?” She opened her eyes in horror. The voice resembled her son's favorite tumbler toy. Dirk? The woman wanted to jump up, but immediately felt a noise in her head and leaned back on the pillows. She saw something incredible. A shadow moved from the closet to the door. Dirk. “Dirk! – she wanted to scream, but instead of a scream it came out only as a whisper. “Dirk, how did you get here?” The child turned around and suddenly began to cry. Victoria's heart sank in horror. She wanted to go to her boy, wanted to take him in her arms and comfort him, but her legs did not obey her. She lay helplessly on the sofa and listened to Dirk cry.
