Joseph Rudyard Kipling (1865–1936) is a classic of English literature, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1907, who owes his fame primarily to the romance that permeates his poetry collections; one of the most popular English writers who had a strong influence on public opinion in Western countries. The first volume of his collected works included the novel “Kim” (1901), written by Kipling at the height of his fame and which is a kind of farewell word addressed to India, and the collection of stories “Three Soldiers” ”, dedicated to the “builders of the empire” - ordinary people in soldier’s uniforms, privates of the colonial army.

Неперевершений шедевр Кіплінга

Книга "Том 1. Кім: Роман. Три солдати" є справжнім витвором мистецтва, який занурює читача в атмосферу колоніальної Індії та життя простих солдатів. Роман "Кім" вражає своєю глибиною та багатошаровістю, розкриваючи не лише пригоди молодого хлопчика, але й складні відносини між культурами, імперією та особистістю. Кіплінг майстерно передає дух часу, описуючи не лише зовнішні обставини, а й внутрішній світ героїв. Оповідання "Три солдати" додає ще більше емоцій, показуючи, як звичайні люди, одягнені в солдатські мундири, стають частиною великої історії, що формує імперію.
