On February 20, the Russian House in Yerevan (representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Armenia), with the assistance of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Aegitas E-Book Publishing House and the Association of Veterans of the Republic of Armenia, held the International Scientific and Practical Conference “195 years of the Turkmanchay Peace Treaty - a milestone in world diplomacy.” Conference work was organized in the following main directions: - foreign policy of states in the first half of the 19th century; - key milestones of the Russian-Persian War of 1826–1828; - conclusion of the Turkmanchay Peace and its significance in world history, as well as in the life of the peoples of Transcaucasia; - life and the activities of the direct heroes of the Russian-Persian War of 1826–1828, in particular, Ivan Paskevich, Alexander Griboyedov, Valerian Madatov, Afanasy Krasovsky, Joseph Reutt and others. The conference was attended by researchers, teachers, teachers, graduate students, applicants, undergraduates, students and other interested parties from Armenia and Russia.
