Baku science fiction writer Pavel Amnuel was born in 1944. Astrophysicist by specialty, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. The title of his dissertation, “Observational Properties of Neutron Stars,” could only recently have appeared on the pages of a science fiction novel. And the first stories of P. Amnuel, then still very young, appeared in our magazine in 1959 and 1960. Since then, his works have been published in many magazines and collections. For the story “Archery” Pavel Amnuel was awarded an honorary diploma from our competition.
