The director of a Soviet soda plant has just returned from a business trip to the corrupt West. And although everything is very, very bad in the West, the idea of having a car or at least a refrigerator really appeals to the director. The dream meets with sharp opposition from relatives and colleagues. The small, grotesque play was written in the late forties. For obvious reasons, it was hidden by the author, and so carefully that subsequently Lem, despite numerous attempts, was unable to find it. After the writer's death, the text was discovered and published in 2008 in Gazeta Wyborcza. The first book edition was published in 2009.
